Grade 316/316L is molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel. The higher nickel and molybdenum content in this grade allows it to demonstrate better overall corrosion resistant properties than 304, especially with regard to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. In addition, Alloy 316/ 316L provides excellent elevated temperature tensile, creep and stress-rupture strengths, as well as outstanding formability and weldability. 316L is the lower carbon version of 316 and is immune from sensitization; therefore, it is very frequently used in heavy gauge welded components. Lap joint flanges also known as a loose-fitting flange or a loose-fitting flange, is a flange design that is characterized by the fact that the flange can be loosely fitted on the flange of the container or pipe. Loose tube flanges are usually made by flanging, directly turning out or welding rings. They are mainly divided into two types: flat welded ring loose tube flanges and butt welded loose tube flanges. It is suitable for the connection of steel, aluminum and other non-ferrous metals and stainless acid-resistant steel containers and corrosion-resistant pipelines. It is especially suitable for situations where the medium temperature and pressure are not high but the medium is highly corrosive. Loose flanges are widely used in chemical industry, construction, water supply and drainage, petroleum, light and heavy industry, sanitation, plumbing, fire protection, electric power, aerospace, shipbuilding and other fields. Due to its easy installation and disassembly, it is especially suitable for occasions that require frequent maintenance and inspection.
