Stainless steel grade 316LN is an austenitic type of steel that is a low carbon, nitrogen-enhanced version of grade 316 steel. The nitrogen content in this steel provides solid solution hardening, and raises its minimum specified yield strength. It also possesses good resistance to general corrosion and pitting/crevice corrosion. The pipe cap is a component used to seal the end of a container to isolate the internal and external media, also known as the end cover. The end cap of a cylindrical container is generally a rotating shell. The pipe cap is a component of the container and is connected to the cylinder by welding. According to different geometric shapes, it can be divided into spherical, elliptical, dish-shaped, spherical crown, cone shell and flat cover. In terms of welding, it can be divided into butt welding end caps and socket welding end caps. It is used in various container equipment, such as storage tanks, heat exchangers, towers, reactors, boilers and separation equipment. The materials include carbon steel (A3, 20#, Q235, Q345B, 16Mn, etc.), stainless steel (304, 321, 304L, 316, 316L, etc.), alloy steel (15Mo3 15CrMoV 35CrMoV45CrMo), aluminum, titanium, copper, nickel and nickel alloys.
