Stainless steel grade 316LN is an austenitic type of steel that is a low carbon, nitrogen-enhanced version of grade 316 steel. The nitrogen content in this steel provides solid solution hardening, and raises its minimum specified yield strength. It also possesses good resistance to general corrosion and pitting/crevice corrosion. Lap joint stub end is a kind of steel butt welded pipe fitting, usually used in loose sleeve flanges. Flanging joint is generally formed by stamping process, according to the length of the straight pipe end is divided into long flanging and short flanging. In the manufacturing process, cold working or hot working methods such as bending, extrusion, molding, mechanical processing can be adopted. Some large diameter flanging also needs welding process . Flanging nipple is often used in petrochemical, electric power and other industrial fields, especially in the environment of strong corrosive medium.
